Her fitness regime is simple but effective. She does sit-ups for ten minutes a day, followed by five minutes of lunges - and that’s it. When it comes to dieting she admits she’s a sucker for junk food, ‘I love doughnuts and cheesecakes’. Although the star is not obsessed by diets she admits, ‘I’d be lying if I said I don’t watch what I eat.’ She follows the Anti-Cellulite diet when preparing for a music video or tour. ‘My trick is to eat cereal throughout the day, so I don’t get hungry. Eva used to be an aerobics teacher and loves exercise, which is lucky since being toned is a must when you spend your life in skimpy outfits playing Gabrielle Solis. She works hard for her figure with two sessions of kickboxing, yoga and three one-hour sessions per week with her personal trainer, Patrick Murphy. Patrick puts her through her paces with body building exercises such as squats and crunches. All that exercise means Eva can eat what she wants including her favourite, spaghetti with meatballs, and still look fabulous on the red carpet. ‘I eat all the time and I never put on weight’, she says. She still models today, and can’t wait till her 40th birthday. ‘I think 40-year-old women actually look more healthy and fit than some girls in their 20s’. Claudia loves keeping fit, as you can see from her fabulous figure, and is quite the expert, having released numerous fitness DVDs. Her diet secret? Unlimited fresh fruit for breakfast - but she avoids citrus fruits which are too acidic and keeps it simple with cooked vegetables and fish for lunch and dinner.  Gwyneth is well-known for her healthy, clean-living lifestyle. Slim but not skinny, with a red-carpet posture even when walking Apple and Moses in the streets of Manhattan, Gwyneth is the epitome of the beautiful, healthy American woman. She’s a strict vegetarian, basing her diet around grains, pulses and lentils, refusing sugary and fast foods by following the Macrobiotic diet. When it comes to fitness, Gwyneth is a fan of ‘Gyrotonic’, exercising on equipment fitted with weights, pulleys and straps, using movements based on swimming, yoga, dance and gymnastics. ‘It improves suppleness, stretches and tones in harmony,’ she says, and by the look of her enviable figure, we have to agree.

She's loves Budokon, which combines martial arts, meditation and yoga; each session lasts a sweat-inducing 80 minutes, and does it twice a week. Her diet of choice is The Zone and it obviously works for her. Each meal is made up of 40 per cent carbs, 30 per cent protein and 30 per cent fats, a varied diet means the metabolism doesn’t have a chance to rest and burns more calories. She swears by Harley Pasternak’s famous ‘5-Factor Fitness’ routine, each session lasts 25 minutes, during which you complete 5 easy steps including cardio, fat burning and toning. She also loves gymnastics. ‘I'm a really good gymnast. I can do splits and back handsprings’. Halle has type-2 diabetes so she can’t afford to eat whatever she fancies. She has 5 small meals a day which are high in protein and low in carbs, and she avoids bad fats and sugar. ‘I’ve learned not to eat a huge portion just because it’s on my plate’. Shakira’s figure is envied by women and adored by men the world over. She loves dancing to keep fit, especially bellydancing, and she is often seen shaking her booty in music videos. Shakira would rather dance like a crazy woman in her living room for an hour than go to the gym. With all that gyrating and dancing around, Shakira can eat what she wants but she likes to ‘eat in a balanced way’. Although she avoids fad diets, she admits, ‘I became vegetarian not too long ago’, after she visited a farm and they gave her three chickens. 'I felt so attached to those chickens that I was thinking, 'Oh my God, I'm never gonna eat chicken again! But I quit! It only lasted two months’.  Renée is the most famous yo-yo dieter in Hollywood, from curvacious for Bridget Jones to super-slim for ‘Chicago’, she’s tried every diet going: The Zone, Atkins, The Hamptons Diet… She’s insatiable! She loves running, and with her iPod blaring out her favourite tunes, she can run for up to 12 miles, while her trainer Tracy Effinger gets her to work up a sweat combining yoga, dance and pilates (click here for the newest pilates craze). At the moment Renée’s diet is all about rationing portions by using everyday objects to measure by. She drinks around two litres of cleansing green tea throughout the day, not to mention a cup of herbal tea - nettle, dandelion or chamomile - at 9.30am, 2pm and 3pm and she follows The Zone Diet to stay slim. When it comes to exercise, moderation is the key. ‘I used to love running but have replaced it with brisk walking. I also do pilates to stretch and elongate the muscles, and some light weights'. It hurts just to think about her regime, she spends 2-3 hours a day doing Ashtanga, the most physical form of yoga, plus pilates, swimming, cycling and weight training (click here for the newest pilates craze). Madonna is also mad for machines. She has a Power-Plate (vibrating platform) and a Cardio Wave (which exercises the buttocks). Her diet is strict macrobiotic, which is based on grains, with organic fruits, vegetables and natural sugars. The gorgeous Charlize eats sensibly but doesn’t fall for fad diets. ‘I’m careful to eat a healthy balance of foods’, she says. She eats six small meals a day, and if she’s cutting out carbs then she makes sure to eat loads of protein-rich foods. ‘If I fancy a burger, rather than deprive myself I’ll eat a quarter of one’ – that girl’s got willpower.
